Integrated Care Workforce Demonstrator Site Showcase Event
Health Education England’s Mandate recognises the importance of the Integrated Care agenda, with a commitment to work closely with the Health and Social Care sector on workforce planning / modelling, training and development to ensure a workforce that is responsive to the changing models of care now and in the future.
To support the success of Integrated Health and Social Care, Health Education North West invested in 24 Integrated Care Workforce demonstrator sites across the Northwest in 2014/15, to begin developing the evidence base for a range of workforce initiatives which support service redesign.
On Tuesday 3rd November, Health Education North West successfully hosted and showcased the outputs and learnings from the 24 sites. It also focussed on the workforce opportunities and challenges in relation to Greater Manchester devolution and North West Vanguards.
Posters were produced focussing on the aims of each project (please see links on the right hand side of the page for posters in pdf format) and throughout the day, each organisation also hosted workshops to share their good practice and facilitated discussion to consider possible next steps/replication. Please see the links at the bottom of this page for each workshop presentation.
Also in attendance were the following keynote speakers:
- Elizabeth Bradbury, Director AQUA (Advancing Quality Alliance);
- Yvonne Rogers, Strategic HR/Workforce Lead, Health and Social Care Reform Team
- David Wilkinson, Director of Workforce & OD, University Hospitals Morecambe Bay (NW Vanguard site).
At Health Education North West, we are keen to hear your views as we begin to move into the next phase of supporting the replication of Integrated Care. Please contact Helen Podmore for any further information or feedback.
We will also be sharing the outputs from the workshops in the near future, along with how the range of initiatives are shaping our investment proposals for 2016/17.
