Event Overview: Attending the National Health and Wellbeing Conference

In this overview Polly James reflects on her learning after attending the National Health and Wellbeing Conference.

Recipe for Workforce Planning launched

We are excited to launch a new resource to support organisations in implementing robust Workforce Planning.

The Recipe for Workforce Planning is an easy-to-use online tool driven by a dynamic process map; users click on each stage of the process to access resources and view the activities needed to complete that stage. The Recipe is a repository for best practice and facilitates peer support through a discussion forum.

NHS International Conference - Recruiting for the Values of the NHS

This international conference, chaired by Michelle Beecroft from Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, was designed to inform delegates of some of the challenges healthcare providers face around embedding key values, exploring the approaches used in America, New Zealand and Australia over the last 20 years to overcome such challenges. Furthermore consideration was given to the tools currently in use or in development within the UK.

North of England Health Visiting Celebrate Share and Learn event

NHS England, in partnership with Health Education England, hosted the North of England Health Visiting Celebrate, Share and Learn event at the Hilton Leeds City on 15 October 2014.

The event was chaired by Teresa Fenech, Deputy Director: Quality Assurance, NHS England who gave a warm welcome to almost 200 health visiting professionals from across the North, including; health visitors, midwives, school nurses, local authority staff, managers and other early years staff.

North West Adult Learners Week Awards for Health and Social Care 2014

On the evening of 5 June, in glorious surrounds, Manchester Museum hosted the North West’s regional award ceremony to mark Adult Learners’ Week.Hundreds of people came together to hear the inspirational stories of adults who have been transformed by their learning experiences and the impact this learning has had on others.Health Education North West is celebrating and promoting the national learning campaign Adult Learners Week in 2014 through a series of health and social care awards because we know learning is good for people and organisations and We Care About People Who Care.
